USS Detroit (CL-8). Commissioned in 1923 Detroit was home ported in Pearl Harbor in 1941 and was moored alongside Raleigh and Utah when attacked but received little damage. She managed to get underway and returned fire, accounting for several enemy planes. serving mainly in Alaskan waters during the war, she was 1 of 2 ships present at both the Pearl harbor attack and the treaty signing in Tokyo Bay. She was decommissioned and scrapped in 1946.
