HAPPY CITY BIRDS MURAL V.2 Hvalsø, 2015. Thomas Dambo. Made during a workshop outside a library in the town, Hvalsø outside of Copenhagen. Local kids each painted one of the 60 pre-made birdhouses, which were then hung on the “tree” made on the building's facade. Everything was made from recycled materials.
"People want to be happy, isn't that right? Haven't you heard it all your life? I want to be happy, people say. Well, aren't they? Don't we keep them moving, don't we give them fun? That's all we live for, isn't it? For pleasure, for titillation?."(Bradbury 59). This quote shows how people really want to be happy and live freely, but the city they live in doesn't allow them to.
