The Alfa Romeo 158 not only took first, second, and third at the very first Formula 1 race on 13 May 1950 at Silverstone, it was also one of the most successful racing cars ever produced. The 158 and its derivative, the 159, took 47 wins from 54 Grands Prix entered, and two world drivers' championships: Giuseppe Farina in 1950 and Juan Manuel Fangio in 1951.
