Explore Droop and more!

I wanted to make our Admin a nail polish bouquet for Administrative Professionals Day but I couldn't find one that was cute enough so I made one of my own. To make it you need fake calla lillies, a glass vase, glass beads, hemp string, glue dots & OPI nail polish. I cut the flowers down so they wouldn't droop when I added the polish, arranged them in the vase w/glass beads, added 2 large glue dots on the back of the polish & affixed them to the spadix (yellow middle part of the flower)…

10 Bulletproof Plants

Marigold* The robust common marigold (Tagetes erecta) is an annual that blooms from summer through fall with flowers in shades of gold, yellow, cream and white. The ferny foliage is highly aromatic, and the plant reaches 3- 4 ft tall & 2 ft wide. Rarely bothered by pests, this vigorous plant is often used in the garden to repel insect invaders. Provide a full-sun location, good drainage & regular water. Avoid overhead watering, as the moisture causes the large flower-heads to droop & break.
