January 20 is Penguin Awareness Day and what better time to celebrate these amazing birds. Penguins delight and charm nature lovers of all ages. But, many penguin species face serious threats from climate change to habitat destruction to illegal egg harvesting. Here, you'll meet 16 penguin species and learn about some of the serious threats they face.
‘40% of all people unaware of climate change’ A new study shows that an estimated four out of 10 people in the world have never heard of ‘climate change’, amid persistent and far-reaching problems attributed to global warming. A report from Nature Climate Change revealed that most developed countries usually have greater knowledge of climate change. However, this does not necessarily imply a greater perception of risk in these countries.
