Often times I will be looking at all the free crochet patterns we have on the site and I will come across some very pretty ones. A lot of those times they happen to be patterns that use the bobble stitch. What is the bobble stitch, you ask? It's a combination of four double crochet stitches or half double crochet stitches in the same stitch, but you leave each double crochet stitch incomplete without pulling through the last stitch. You then link them together at the end. The bobble stitch does take a bit of math and counting, so if you're not the greatest mathematician then make sure you have a pen and paper next to you so you can write things down.

The crochet bobble stitch<\/a> really is a neat stitch that can be used in a lot of projects. My favorites are the bobble stitch hats and purses. This stitch is much like the popcorn stitch in that it adds dimension and texture making it a fun crochet pattern to put together. If you're tired of doing the same old double crochet stitch then learn to do the bobble stitch which is just a bit different. It makes your projects fun and unique-looking. You can use the bobble stitch to make just about anything you want. Make an afghan pattern using the bobble stitch and you'll have a heavy and warm crochet afghan blanket<\/a> for the winter.
