Great White Shark: A large lamniform shark found in coastal surface waters in all major oceans. It is known for its size, with the largest individuals known to have approached or 20 ft in length, and 5,000 lb in weight. Live in almost all coastal and offshore waters which have water temperature between 54 and 75°F. Displays countershading, having a white underside and a grey dorsal area. Responsible for more unprovoked attacks on humans than any other species.
