After closer examination of the Hebrew and Arabic cultures in the region it is evident that the practice of polytheism was very commonplace. Likewise if we look at Biblical scripture, we see that the pagan worship again began to take hold in the world immediately after the “great flood”. With the descendants of Noah (Cush and Nimrod) this would eventually give rise to the ancient kingdom of Babylon around the time of the ‘Tower of Babel’ (Genesis 11).
