The New Orleans orphanage that was once home to famous author Anne Rice (she of Interview with a Vampire fame) has been converted into a 28-unit apartment. The block's centrepiece is the orphanage's former chapel, a 460-square-metre apartment which boasts unheard of 7.3m ceilings and copious stained glass. There's also three bedrooms and five (!!!) full bathrooms, all for a tidy $6.1m.
