March 6,   1933: CHICAGO MAYOR ANTON CERMAK DIES  -    Chicago Mayor Anton J. Cermak, wounded the month before in an attempt on Franklin D. Roosevelt's life, dies at a Miami hospital. Cermak was mortally wounded after the assassin, Giuseppe Zangara, missed his aim and hit Cermak instead.
