Probably best known as a Johnny River (pictured) song "Memphis, Tennessee" is a Chuck Berry song that went to No. 3 on the charts in 1963 even though it was released in 1959. Mr Rivers went to No. 2 in 1964. Many others have covered the song to include Al Green, Rod Stewart, Bo Diddly, The Rolling Stones and Roy Orbison. Also covering the song was The Beatles in the failed Decca audition in 1962. #TheBeatles
