Requiem by Robert Louis Stevenson one of my favorite poems, its on his grave stone, such a peaceful summary of a life

Desiderata: Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly, and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story...

Desiderata ~ probably my favorite ~ loved since my teen years, but understand it more with each passing year ~ so much truth ~ break it down into sections and let each word penetrate...However, there is one misprint...should say "Be cheerful" rather than "Be careful" at the end. ~ALW

Desiderata for Cat Lovers: A Guide to Life & Happiness - Max Ehrmann - "Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence." One of my favorite poems, and illustrated with cats! Just given to me by one of my students!
