Sea Otters hold hands when they sleep. This is a natural instinct called "rafting" that keeps them from drifting away in rough waters. A raft typically contains 10 to 100 animals. The largest raft ever seen contained over 2000 sea otters!
The smallest of all the otter species, the Asian Small-Clawed Otter weighs less than 50 grams at birth. They’re also born toothless, blind and nearly immobile, making them completely dependent on their mothers. Just look at that little pink paw though!
