Coronation uniform of Emperor Alexander I, circa 1801.  This uniform has a high collar, embroidered with gold threads.  The right shoulder bears a long piece of gold braid ending in an aiguillette. The chest bears the star of the Order of St. Andrew the First-Called, embroidered in silk and gold. The coat has been sewn by Alexander Golitsyn in 1801. Yeomanry Jacket This well-preserved scarlet military jacket may be a more recent copy of the distinctive tailed military dress adopted by the 18th century Volunteer Corps and Yeomanry in Ireland. It has gold braid and buttons inscribed “GR”. The facings are of black velvet.
