Ramses II: The complex of Abu Simbel - Egyptology Brazil - The interior of the temple is similar to most temples of ancient Egypt layout, with smaller rooms closer to the sanctuary. The first room contains eight large statues of Ramses God, taking the form of Osiris. These statues are connected to the columns. On the walls you can see prints with scenes of Egyptian victories in Libya, Syria and Nubia. The sanctuary contains three statues of gods Ra, Ptah, Amun and Ramses, all seated.
