The quilt is divided into eight diamond shaped compartments, each with a pale green and white floral patterned background. In each compartment is a roundel with a pale green background, featuring a different bird executed in applique. Birds are: Mallard; kingfisher; seagull; loon; canada goose; wood duck; canvas back duck (most likely). Birds are highlighted with hand embroidery.
