The school had about 120 students who took a six year course where they were taught languages, culture and fine arts. In the 1978 the building was left abandoned after the school went bankrupt a year before because of the growing popularity for coeducation.

The book is filled with images of deserted hospitals, hotels, schools, theme parks, mansions, cottages, car graveyards and industrial spaces. In all, the explorer has visited more than 900 locations in about 22 countries.
