Got hooked on these by one of Paul's students. Fun reading, incorporates classic fairy tale characters like Oberon, Titania, Puck, Queen Mab, and folklore from many cultures - plus a new element called the "Iron Fey" - fey born into reality out of the dreams and imaginations of modern humans' craving for ever-advancing technology and engineering. A pretty cool premise, and of course, there is a love triangle ;)

Meghan Chase feels invisible and like she doesn’t belong. Her mother barely pays her any attention, her stepfather Lucas acts like she doesn’t exist, and her fellow classmate think she’s just a nerd/hillbilly from the swamp. Except for her friend Robbie and her brother Ethan, she feels alone. That is until weird things start happening.
Iron Queen by Julie Kagawa. This ends a trilogy of stories written in first person about Meghan Chase. There is a fourth book in this story line that is told from the point of view of her love interest that I haven't read as yet, but will eventually, and apparently a new series beginning starring Meghan's younger half brother. These first three were so much fun!
