GORDON LIGHTFOOT ~ ENDLESS WIRE ~ 1978 ~~ FREE SHIPPING ~~

Gordon Lightfoot - If You Could Read My Mind ('74) ~ I love this song. His emotions on his face make me think he wrote this for someone.

"According to a legend of the Chippewa tribe, the lake they once called Gitche Gumee 'never gives up her dead.'" -- Great Lakes: The Cruelest Month, James R. Gaines with Jon Lowell in Detroit, ©1975 Newsweek Magazine -- On November 10, 1975, an ore carrier - the Edmund Fitzgerald - sank in Lake Superior during a November storm, taking the lives of all 29 crew members. Gordon Lightfoot wrote Wreck Of The Edmund Fitzgerald - See http://gordonlightfoot.com/wreckoftheedmundfitzgerald.shtml

So many of the really important events in my life seem to have a soundtrack by Gordon Lightfoot. The loss of a child, repairing a failing marriage, singing his songs to my Grandchildren as a lullaby. He is so important in my life. I will always be able to say I was lucky enough to see him once. Thanks Gord!
