a nothingness so profound, we needed an 'after life' story to fill it

"Can you imagine a nothingness so profound that millions of people over thousands of years felt the need to create an entire after life just so they wouldn't have to look it in the eye?

The Difference Between Existentialism, Nihilism, and Absurdism

La seconda che hai detto (cit. Corrado Guzzanti) Honestly, Existentialism is contained all in this sentence.

Suicide is referenced in the novel frequently by the Meursault as a way to escape his life. However, Meursault could never go through with it because he would rather do nothing than make a decision that would impact his life.

Man is nothing else but what he makes of himself. Such is the first principle of existentialism. Picture Quotes.

Meursault makes clear that there's no meaning to life. He can live a significant and fulfilling life but the universe won't even blink.

Existential crisis quote

"you," he said "are a terribly real thing in a terribly false world, and that, i believe, is why you are in so much pain"

Sylvia Plath More

It's probably not a great sign that I identify so much with Sylvia Plath quotes.

Existentialism. I agree quite a bit with some of this shit. Some of my cynical side coming out.
