Chickpea Stew made - added extra cup of liquid, substituted veg broth in place of water, used dried chickpeas that i soaked and simmered versus canned, used half the oil, served with toasted pita versus pouring over bread. VERY GOOD light soup.
smoky chilli braised beef with cornbread dumplings: this recipe is so tasty! I cut down the sugar to 2 Tbsps and added 1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar to the braising beef. I used regular canned tomatoes and sharp cheddar as that's all I had to hand.. For a heartier meal, sub bread flour for A.P. flour when making the dumplings. 9/10 RUTH YEAMAN
