Give your student's a break from traditional notes and have them actively engaged! These doodle notes encourage students to use creativity and both hemispheres of their brain.   This is a two-part graphic organizer in which students can create a visual representation of the three fundamental gas laws. I have also included an example math problem for Boyle's Law, Charles' Law, and Guy-Lassac's Law and a practice problem.

BrainPOP Jr. | Natural Resources | Lesson Ideas This link explains two activities in the classroom and two at home activities about conservation of natural resources. One of the ideas is to have students find a way to reuse an item that they would normally throw away, such as a soda bottle. This could be a homework assignment sent home on a weekend to be done with the child's family.

I can not describe how great this resource is. Excellent youtube videos for middle school science that are aligned for common core. The videos have links to google drive docs to fill out as students watch videos. Probably the best find in months for a middle school science teacher. Golden resource.
