Today's Reflection: What a comforting thought to know that He will always search for me when I go astray. That His love is tender and protective. He does not accuse, He does not lay blame. He is merciful. Yet, He does want us to stay close to him and not wander off. Will I choose to see His love as smothering and stifling my freedoms or will I recognize the boundaries as the protection of a parent who knows what's best? I want to be that lamb in His arms, resting and safe. Loved…

Today's Reflection: Here is one more thing I can take off my plate. I can rest in Him. I do not have to bring my long list of needs before Him, pleading my case for how much I NEED this or that prayer answered and how quickly I need them answered. He already knows. And He knows better than I, what I Really Need. For someone who likes control; who likes to plan and make things happen, this can be a test of my humility. What about you? Can we trust that Someone else knows best and has a…

Only in an irrational world of indoctrinated paradigms can killing others under the guise of "God's Will" make sense.

Today's reflection. Still, the message of service continues. Loving God with my whole being first and then loving my neighbor as myself. I know how much I can love myself; putting my desires above others is a normal practice for me. But I am called to put others first. Can I choose to make their needs more important than my own? Not without the Grace that comes from loving the Lord with my whole heart, soul, mind, and strength. So, I will start there. I will spend time with Him daily. I will…

Today's Reflection: How harsh, Lord. Really? Isn't it reasonable to take care of obligations and care for our families? You would have us ignore them for you? Oh, but that's not what your saying? You just want to be first, our priority. We don't have to follow you to the exclusion of the other things or people in our lives. But we do need to put you at the center. First and foremost, it's about You and our relationship. If we choose You first, choose to follow You, then You are in the midst…

Reflection for today. Did you know that there is power in Service. To give the gift of yourself to others in serving them, in placing their needs and desires ahead of your own. That is the power of God's Grace at work in your life. And in theirs, as you shine His light into their darkness. So, stir into flame your love and show your self control in dying to yourself and living for others. #Theologyofthebody #giftofself #servicebeforeself #appliestoEVERYrelationship

Today's Reflection: Sometimes we face troubles. Not just the small irritating issues, but big life changing battles that take everything we have to stay strong. You know, those times when you find yourself wondering how much more you can take. Will it ever end! I know I have wondered at times if I was strong enough to keep standing. Especially when the struggles are coming from a source you trusted. BUT, we have to remember that we can't fight on our own. Our strength is not sufficient. Our…

We all know people who must have what they want and do what they want, despite the cost. Their don’t-care-attitude when it comes to the rest of us is a truly narcissistic trait. Most people really don’t see what is going on, but why are there also people who enable this narcissistic behavior? I believe it is because some get a sense of egotistical satisfaction from this.
