Giethoorn is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It's known as "Venice of the North" or "Venice of the Netherlands". There are absolutely no roads and all transport is conducted by water over one of the many canals.
When I traveled to Amsterdam for the first time, there was a feeling of wanderlust. It was amazing to feel excited, nervous, and hopeful at the same time. It's almost like going on a 1st date (that you want to end well).
