FINE ART PAINTING Jean-François de Troy: Diana and Her Nymphs Bathing, 1722–24

Diana and Actaeon by my favorite 18th century artist, Jean Francois de Troy. The theme of Diana and Actaeon has been treated several times by de Troy but in this one he features Diana bathing with five voluptuous nymphs in a cave in diaphanous light, Actaeon, dimly lighted, arises from the left ; two dogs complete the composition. Sexy, non?
