Slow down. We're often rushing to "do stuff"; to "get things done." But life is not primarily a to-do list, even if there things that need to get done. A priest friend told me about a seminary buddy who remarked, "if all you do is do, you'll get doo doo."
The people who do good deeds or "win battles" without bragging, or doing it in front of others on purpose are truly the ones who deserve respect. Not needing the satisfaction of other's approval and admiration is something I truly admire.
word. I shouldn't compare myself to others. And the fact that I do it to fictional characters is even harder. I feel like I want to be just like a ranger. Silent, skilled, strong, brave in battle. But I'm not. I need to be myself and grow on my talents.
For me, this is a must. I will say things not because they want to be heard but they need to be heard. Someone opened my eyes with this same action when I was boy who thought he knew everything. Thank you Sharla, you opened my eyes and set me free. Steven
