“Pound the Alarm” is a song by Trinidadian recording artist Nicki Minaj. The eurodance and house-pop song was taken from her second studio album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded

Nicki Minaj shoots a Carnival-themed music video for her single “Pound The Alarm” at her home country of Trinidad and Tobago on Wednesday, July 4. Nicki was joined by some of Soca music’s biggest stars, including Machel Montano, Fay-Ann Lyons and Bunji Garlin.

It’s getting hot in here! With summer in full swing, Nicki Minaj made her way back to her birth land of Trinidad to shoot her new music video POUND THE ALARM.

Nicki Minaj (29), real name Onika Tanya Maraj, was born in St James, Trinidad. At age five she moved to Queens, New York to be with her mother and though living in America Nicki heads to her homeland to re-create the essence of Carnival for her upcoming Pound The Alarm music video. Though the entire video will not be shoot in Trinidad about 500 people were recruited to appear in the shoot.
