Explore 1953 Hazelle'S, Hazelle S Product and more!

Hazelle's Marionette 810-Penny (1953-76) is -- along with Dick and Sally -- one of the standard players of the Hazelle's "Popular" line through three decades. This one is exactly as she appears in the 1956 product brochure. She is an upgrade to the one I have just like her in my collection. Purchased June 23, 2015 online auction for $12.95 + $6.00 s&h.

HAZELLE'S MARIONETTES NO. 413-SOUTHERN BELLE (1953) IN A RELAXED STATE is much happier now that she is in her new home at #PuppetParadise. This #puppet didn't come with a box, so she will go into my hanging stock to be rotated into displays from time to time. It is no problem to hang #marionettes for storage. But marionettes tend to fare much better in long-term storage if kept in the original box. But these are cheaply made toys -- not professional marionettes -- so they will always show…

418-Indian Chief "Tenite" 1953. I would love to have the marionette, because it is one of the few American Indians I don't have in my Hazelle's collection. But I also don't have this product brochure. Both on my WANT LIST.

HAZELLE'S MARIONETTES NO. 408-CARLOS (1953-80) arrived at Puppet Paradise yesterday. This one has a #costume similar to the one in the 1956 product brochure.

HAZELLE'S "SPECIAL" MARIONETTES NO. 413-SOUTHERN BELLES. Same character, different heads and costumes - Left, 1953; Right, 1954-80. The easiest way to tell the difference in the faces is the eyes. The right marionette no longer has an eighth string for the mouth because the mechanism was disabled by the previous owner.

EN: Arriving at Puppet Palace (my home) this week is #305_Cinderella Maiden "A blond 'Poor Cinderella' who sits by the fireside in a print dress, black bodice, white apron and low heeled shoes." Quote from 1953 Hazelle's Marionettes product brochure. ES: Al llegar a mi casa esta semana es la Cenicienta. Ella fue hecha por Hazelle's Marionettes en Kansas City.
