Queen Elizabeth National Park overlooks the Rwenzoris, with diverse ecosystems which include savanna grassland, humid forests and wetlands making an ideal habitat for game and other wildlife like; climbing lions, primate species including chimpanzees and over 600 species of birds. The park is shared by Lake Edward and Lake George which are joined by the great Kazzinga channel.
