Château de Foix

The Château de Foix, Foix, Ariège, France.... ... In the High middle ages the castle was home to the Counts of Foix who were central to the Occitan resistance during the crusade against the Albigensians. The county became a refuge for persecuted Cathars. The castle was often besieged (notably by Simon de Montfort in 1211 and 1212). It has been listed since 1840 as a monument historique by the French Ministry of Culture.

The Haunted Manor in Gdansk, Northern Poland — There is a hill; local residents still refer to it as “Devil’s Hill” due to an old legend that states that this little hill, surrounded by a deep forest and swamps, was a favorite place for witch gatherings, where it is said that nasty demons were summoned. Legend also says that a very large stone located on the top of the hill was brought there by the devil. Today the building remains derelict and no one claims ownership.
