Students are to compile evidence for BOTH sides of the argument in preparation for a class debate and then write an analytical/ argumentative paragraph after each debate. This activity takes students to various websites about the Anglo-Saxons such as The British Library page on Beowulf and the BBC encyclopedia on Anglo-Saxons to answer questions about the information they discover there. As a summation of what they learn about the Anglo-Saxons, students then create a Wordle poem and write a paragraph explanation.
