The Alps Series.

The Alps paintings are HERE!!!! My favorite series to date. The thing about painting landscapes is that I know what’s on the canvas will never beat standing in the middle of the real thing. Replication isn’t my goal - and just copying a scene can get boring pretty fast. BUT what I looove about painting landscapes is capturing the feeling a certain place first evoked - freedom, gratitude, presence, WONDER. My hope for these paintings is that they serve as invitations into that sense of wonder…
