Bronze Statue of St Michael by Allan G Wyon enclosed in the War Memorial in The Quarry, Shrewsbury. Originally built in 1922-23 in memory of the men & women of Shrewsbury who lost their lives in the Great War. More inscriptions were later added to remember those lives lost in the 2nd World War.
The Flax Mill/Maltings is of great historical importance as it was the worlds first cast iron framed building and is the Grandfather of all skyscrapers. It is mentioned in a plaque on the top of the Empire State Building in New York. Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
