In the spring the puffins starts arriving in Iceland, where the world's largest population of them stay, feed and breed over summer in Iceland. They are adorable, and easy to catch a glimpse of, when you visit Iceland on vacation. Here they are at Grassy Cliffs overlooking the Sea, perhaps at Látrabjarg or in the country side close to shore. Iceland is perfect for birdwatching!
Nene - The official bird of the state of Hawaiʻi, the Nene is exclusively found in the wild on the islands of Maui, Kauaʻi and Hawaiʻi. The Nene evolved from the Canada Goose (Branta canadensis), which most likely migrated to the Hawaiian islands 500,000 years ago, shortly after the island of Hawaiʻi was formed.
