JOHNNY PACHECO - In late 1963, his career took another historical turn when he created Fania Records with Jerry Masucci. In 1964, the label released Pacheco's next endeavor entitled Canonazo featuring a switch from the Charanga to Conjunto style. As the company's executive, creative director and musical producer, he was responsible for launching the careers of many of the young stars that formed part of Fania Records.
