Doily Snowflakes by fieldandsea, via Flickr: Use a handful of vintage / thrifted doilies for the flakes. After giving them a wash, measure half and half epsom salts and water. Bring the water to a boil first, then add the salts, stir until dissolved. Take it off the heat then dip the doilies. Press the liquid out and put to dry on a tea towel. Should be stiff and ready for thread by overnight.
