KRUSEVAC | Lazar Hrebeljanovic, a Serbian medieval knight, was founder of the town of Krusevac, as in 1371 he built a court there, in order to be as far away as possible from the main line of Turkish conquest. Krusevac was the Serbian capital until the death of Prince Lazar in the Battle of Kosovo in 1389, and at the end of the 14th century despot Stefan relocated the capital to Belgrade.
