The Order of Orange-Nassau (Orde van Oranje-Nassau). A military and civil Dutch order of chivalry founded on 4 April 1892 by the Queen regent Emma of the Netherlands, acting on behalf of her under-age daughter Queen Wilhelmina. The Order is a chivalric order open to "everyone who has earned special merits for society". Motto: "Je maintiendrai" (I shall maintain).

The Order had three classes (Grand Cross, Commander and Chevalier (Knight).  The Order was reinstated in 1830 by King Louis XVIII, but was abolished in 1830 by Kng Louis-Philippe.
