Explore Single Egg, Mooncake and more!

Available on Mid-autumn Festival - Mooncake (Snow Skin & Single Egg Yolk in Lotus Seed Paste)

Cut the mooncake up for my mum as she loves egg yolks. This is about the only time I allow her to take egg yolks!

Homemade lotus paste egg yolk mooncakes??? It never even OCCURRED to me that this would be possible. I think this might be my new ultimate lifegoal...

Typical mooncakes are round or rectangular pastries, measuring about 10 cm in diameter and 4–5 cm thick. This is the Cantonese mooncake, eaten in southern China (Guangdong, Hong Kong). A rich thick filling usually made from red bean or lotus seed paste is surrounded by a thin (2–3 mm) crust and may contain yolks from salted duck eggs. Mooncakes are usually eaten in small wedges accompanied by Chinese tea. Today, it is customary for businessmen and families to present them as presents.
