Rhinoceros often abbreviated as rhino, is a group of five extant species of odd-toed ungulates in the family Rhinocerotidae. Two species are native to Africa and three to Southern Asia. Members of the rhinoceros family are characterized by their large size (they are some of the largest remaining megafauna, with all of the species able to reach one tonne or more in weight); as well as by a herbivorous diet; a thick protective skin, relatively small brain & a large horn.
Grand Duke Nicholas Mikhailovich of Russia (1859 – 1919) was the eldest son of Grand Duke Michael Nicolaievich of Russia & a first cousin of Alexander III. After the fall of the monarchy in 1918, he was exiled to Vologda. He was later imprisoned by the Bolsheviks in Petrograd & shot outside the St Peter & St Paul Fortress along with his brother Grand Duke George Michaelovich & his cousins Grand Duke Dimitri Konstantinovich & Grand Duke Paul Alexandrovich.
Saint Athanasius of Alexandria (from Greek, "immortal") was a bishop of Alexandria and major theological writer in the fourth century. He is also called Athanasius the Great and (by the Coptic church) Athanasius the Apostolic;born in 298; died on May 2, 373. His feast day in the Orthodox Church is January 18.
