Car parking at Dublin Airport in the early 1950s in the days before strict airport security. Aer Lingus DC-3 ‘EI-ACI’ is parked on the ramp. The building’s open balconies were very popular, and were open to the public, as was the airport’s large restaurant which gave a view of the airfield. For a time dinner-dances were held in the airport at night. The balconies were eventually closed for security reasons.
