"Photograph" is a 1983 single by British hard rock band Def Leppard from their album Pyromania. Singer Joe Elliott often stated before playing the song live that it was written as a tribute to the late actress Marilyn Monroe, but he contradicted himself in a later interview and explained the song is more generally about "something you can't ever get your hands on". When released as a single it reached No. 1 on the Billboard Top Tracks chart and No. 12 on the Pop Singles chart.
And of course this is a band, like Skid Row and Metallica, that I simply consider OURS. If I hear THESE guys I disappear so far into my own mind and heart that I don't really maintain any connection to whatever else is going on outside. Anything could be happening and I wouldn't even know because I go so far into this music because it is so much you.
Def Leppard. My 2nd favorite band of all time. Went to see them in concert with KISS. Def was definitely the highlight of the show! (Kiss...well...was not...) Would love to see them again! They might be getting old but they sure as heck don't sound like it!!!
Def Leppard...I can't believe I already got to see then live, but I plan to go to every concert they have in Minnesota. And it's been decided that my friend's dad will accompany us to at least one of these future concerts ha!
