Paris to the Moon by Adam Gopnik  this is interesting for what it tells you about the French but as much about Americans...interestingly similar to the book, PARIS, I LOVE YOU BUT YOU'RE BRING ME DOWN!   But I recommend reading Stein's PARIS, FRANCE first...readers comment if you're interested or have other recommendations to add to this list...
