I pray that my husband and son see me living for the Lord. #proverbs31 #biblestudy #biblestudytime #biblejournalingcommunity #yellowhousepaperco http://ift.tt/1KAavV3

When I trust the people around me and my circumstances I'm always disappointed. And sometimes changes rock my world. But Jesus Christ is the same yesterday today and forever. I can trust in Him and know that whatever happens my future is secure. #krystalletters #letterfortheLord #30daysofbiblelettering http://ift.tt/1KAavV3

Today I struggled with inspiration. I did my bsf study. I did my first 5. I did my Jesus calling. Three devotionals and nothing. I even texted my bestie because she always has the best verses in her back pocket. I loved it but nothing image wise came to mind. So I sat and prayed. I felt like God said to me "I am your inspiration." He is totally my inspiration. He has made all things. And they are all his. And of course I find myself in psalm. Psalm 95:4-5 if you are lacking in inspiration…

I've been inspired by questions from some of you to put together a Bible Journaling Basics post for next week! Spent the evening with 3 lovely friends journaling talking laughing and eating. Their friendship certainly reminds me of this verse. Just as lotions and fragrance give sensual delight a sweet friendship refreshes the soul. "God's power enables him to exercise unbelievable restraint." Knowing that same power lives within me reminds me to take a breath and let Him work through me as opposed to just jumping right into what might be a wrong place for me. I've been anxious and moved right into somethings and then looked back wondering how I got there. Today I'll take a breath and be careful to restrain myself from following the crowd. Lord I give you my steps today. Lead me down (or up) a path that leads to…

There is always someone we can teach and there is always someone we can learn from. I hope I will have a spirit that offers what I know with grace and wisdom and accepts what I don't know with humility. Prayer: Lord help me to receive correction with grace. Send loving people my way to help me become a better and more effective Christian. I want to live a life worthy of my calling and may need the help of others wiser than me to do so. In Jesus name amen. {from today's #first5 app}…

Luke 6:38 - What a wonderful promise God has given to us. Give with a pure and open heart and the same will be given back to us. Have you ever followed the promptings of the spirit and reached out to someone to only have them turn away? A couple of years ago I was told to reach out to a lost friend over and over again until God said it was enough. When I think back to that time I usually find myself cringing & worrying about how she may have perceived me as needy or maybe even something…

“Do not forsake me, O Lord! O my God, be not far from me! Make haste to help me, O Lord, my salvation!” ‭‭Psalms‬ ‭38:21-22‬ ‭ESV‬‬ . . Do you ever wish you could just pick up the pone and call God. None of the waiting around and wondering if that was Him speaking to you. That would be nice. . . . #tinyscripturedoodle #illustratedfaith #goosekeeperdesigns #biblejournaling #tinydoodle #scripturedoodle #travelersnotebook #septemberscripturewriting #kaylastinyscripture #psalms #doodleaday

A couple of weeks ago I read "5 Habits of a Woman Who Doesn't Quit" and it has really stuck with me. Most importantly the personal responsibility required to fulfill commitments and make the right commitments. It reminds me of Moses who had a role that only he only could fulfill but was only able to do so with help. Read tonight about the battle won with prayer and this is the part that really sticks out. Moses' job what to hold up his staff while the Israelites were fighting in the war…
