We quickly learned that poor Woody is both deaf and partially blind - it pains us to think of what he must have experienced, lost and alone, before finding his way here. Due to his restricted senses, he can be a little standoffish and shy at first, but once he realizes he's with a trusted friend his calm and friendly nature shines through.
