As a medicine man, Geronimo acted as a teacher for hereditary Chief Naiche. Naiche had three wives and 15 children. Nadeyole, was Naiche's oldest wife. Nadeyole died on 24-12-1896, while a prisoner of war at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. Naiche's second wife was E-clah-heh (1859-1909) who died at Fort Sill. She was related to Geronimo, which meant that Naiche felt closely bound to Geronimo as head of his wife's kin. Her daughter was Dorothy (1876-1946).

Herculaneum, the Villa of Papyri contained a library of more than 2000 papyrus scrolls.The scrolls survived charred the only surviving library of Antiquity. They come from a personal library of the Epicurean philosopher and poet Philodemus. Some were successfully unwrapped deciphered in 19th and 20th centuries.
