Violin has always been an important part of my life. I played since I was nine and always enjoyed the music, so beautiful. Life got in the way and I put it aside long ago, but my daughter plays and has accomplished 1st chair. My son asked to play in the suzuki style class they are starting at school. It makes me smile that the love of music is staying alive.
Once upon a time, I played, I started too late to get beyond Vivaldi and Mozart and lacked the time to continue. Still, I love classical music and opera plus jazz and folk (including dancing) and painting and architecture and good photography and typography and, of course, poetry and fiction. I am, after all, a writer. Just listen.
