All told, there are some 5,000 local Senior Nutrition Programs in the United States. These programs provide well over one million meals to seniors who need them each day. Some programs serve meals at congregate locations like senior centers, some programs deliver meals directly to the homes of seniors whose mobility is limited, and many programs provide both services.

Every day, six million American seniors struggle to put enough nutritious food on their tables, even forced to choose between vital medication or food. Email your Representative and Senators, urging them to prevent senior hunger by adequately funding nutrition programs in the #OlderAmericansAct

Last week, Subaru- Cascade Auto Group in Cuyahoga Falls donated 75 pounds of groceries to Mature Services Nutrition Program to be used to prepare and deliver home-delivered meals to clients.  “We appreciate the collaboration with Subaru to eliminate hunger for seniors in Summit County,” said Karen Hrdlicka, President & Chief Executive Officer of Mature Services, Inc.
