Pathé Tuschinski is a theater in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam, Abraham Icek Tuschinski, who had it built in 1921 at a cost of 4 million guilders, in a spectacular mix of styles, as designed by Hijman Louis de Jong; Amsterdam School, Jugendstil, Art Nouveau and Art Deco. . From 1998 to 2002 the whole theatre was renovated in its original style.
This sculpture shows two key components of Art Deco style. First, the sculptor used the elephant, an exotic species popular during the period. Second, the image of the sunburst appears to surround the elephant's head. The shape of this sculpture is geometric
