Workers in the London, Midland & Scottish Railway (LMS) clothing department. This is where uniforms for railway workers on the LMS were made. All railway staff who came into contact with the public had to wear a uniform consisting of a jacket or jumper, cap and badge, usually in navy blue. The uniforms were often made-to-measure.
